A train journey, all aboard!

Train  This is a somewhat delayed post about our weekend activities. The reasons for the delay I won’t go into but internet problems and new ducklings are among ’em! Anyway, as it’s dad’s 80th this week, today in fact, so we thought we’d take him on a train journey to celebrate his birthday. We drove over the Skye bridge to Kyle of Lochalsh where the journey to Inverness began. Although it was a lovely day, our seats didn’t offer the best camera shots so, after staying overnight in Inverness, jump aboard to accompany us on our return journey!

Part way along the track, we pulled up alongside the Royal Scotsman…

Absolutely beautiful! Thank you. I never tire of looking at pics of Scotland! We have just returned from a week at Buckie, and the barley harvest seems to be fantastic this year. All the better for the distilleries!
