Another silver lining!

They say that things come in threes. Bad things usually. Well, I think we’ve had our quota recently; a large chunk of masonary threatening to decapitate any unfortunate passer-by = urgent requirement of builder; the cooker suddenly giving up the ghost, threatening the breakfast part of the whole Bed and Breakfast experience = urgent purchase of new cooker; and of course, more importantly, the distressing loss of wee Wallace.

But then once again, one of those silver-lined clouds appeared. Well, more of a white and grey one really. So, meet  Patches…

She is and with a sweet nature too! I keep trying to visit your blog but don’t seem to have much luck. Am I doing something wrong or is there a technical glitch at your end?

Hi Christine. I have nominated you for some cool blogging awards. They are lovely and inspirational because you are lovely and inspirational. You don’t need to do anything with these nominations if you don’t want to, but it’s a great way to share your favourite blogs and get others to see yours. There are few things you need to do so please check out my blog http://gardeningkiwi.wordpress.com/2012/08/03/and-for-my-second-blog-of-the-day-we-are-going-to-have-a-celebration/ (or for what you are actually supposed to do check out the people who nominated me!) Thanks for sharing your world with the rest of the world. Cheers Sarah the Gardener : o )

Welcome back to Garybuie, I’ve missed you! I agree, cats are the perfect models. Patches has reappeared with her ‘friends’ on my latest (late) blog. As for the cooker, we hot-footed (well, tyred) it into town that day and managed to haul a new one into the back of the car. No assistance in any shape or form of caorse. Something to do with health and safety. Whose health and safety was unclear I have to say! Anyway, guests got their breakfasts the next day so all’s well.
Enjoy your cooler weather and by the way, your recent description of the rain shower just HAS to go in one of your books. Superb.
      Christine
