Bairns and Burns.

The aftermath

Something I didn’t mention about the birth of Holly and Jake, is that they share their birth date with Robert Burns, the 18th century Scottish poet. So, with the combination of the birth of our first grandchildren, the traditionally celebrated Burns Night and the upcoming 9th anniversary, tomorrow, of our move to Skye, I thought that a wee gathering of friends and neighbours was in order! Of course the main reason was to toast those beautiful bairns and new parents, Matt and Sarah…

Thou’rt to love and heaven sae dear,

Nocht of ill may come thee near,
