Adverse blogging conditions!

This is definitely our busiest season since we came to Skye which is GREAT! The only problem being that between bed and breakfasts and the flora and fauna of Garybuie, there’s not much time for blogging! Anyway, we’ve certainly had some lovely guests – with a large diversity of interests – over the past few weeks, all of them seeming happy with what Skye has to offer.  Two such guests were Paul and Carys Brewster from Cheshire who both have a passion for wildlife, Paul being a wildlife photographer.

On their return home, Paul kindly sent some of the photographs which he took whilst on holiday in this part of the world – the most exciting being the one of the River Warbler taken on the mainland, as it is very rare in this part of the world.

As well as lots of new faces crossing our threshold recently, a very familiar one did so at the weekend – Tom, our nephew, along with his friend Danielle. He only passed his driving test earlier this year but seemed to cope admirably with the journey from Lancashire. In fact rather than Tom having any problems, it was ‘Tom Tom’ who was the troublemaker, leading them astray by insisting on a ferry crossing when the pair really wanted the free bridge option! Anyway, they arrived safely even after their much extended journey time and the weather was reasonably kind to them during their brief stay. It was good to see them both.
